Chianti Café is located in the historic "old Post Office" building in old Strathcona, Edmonton's entertainment and theatre district. Close to downtown and the University of Alberta, Chianti Café is conveniently located for a business lunch or a quick bite before an evening show.

Casual, bustling, Italian, we're a "from scratch" restaurant so all our dishes are made fresh to order. Thus, we're happy to accommodate dietary concerns. For example, we have gluten free brown rice pasta for customers on gluten free diets and half portions are available on most menu items.

At Chianti we are proud of the fact that several staff have been with us for many years and share the same commitment to our continued success.

At Chianti we also believe that part of our success comes from our commitment to the communities in which we are located. Our restaurants are extensively involved in the support of community events in each respective city. In Edmonton, a large area of focus has been supporting the arts. Chianti is a long standing sponsor of The Fringe Theatre Festival, The Works Festival, The River City Shakespeare Festival, The Edmonton Folk Festival, The Street Performers Festival, Stage Polaris, Workshop West Theatre, Northern Light Theatre and many more.

In 1996 Chianti Café received the prestigious:
     'Award for Sustained Support' (of the arts)
                at the Mayor's annual awards for business and the arts.

We also work with athletic organizations, primarily University of Alberta Athletics, Angel's Soccer Club, Juventus Cycling Team, and the Cycle-logic Triathlon Club. As well, through our kids menu, we raise funds to support the Stollery Children's Hospital
